VISIT PROVENCE MOULAGE :

When the two main actors of a same field put their forces together,
that generally creates a shock wave.
The purchase of Starter by Provence Moulage was the most important event of these last months in France
and the Aubagne workshops in which the activities of the two yesterday's enemy brothers are gathered still keep the marks of the gust of wind which blew.

Rémy Elkoubi (CEO) was ill when we visited the workshop. He arrived in the reduced model world when he purchased Provence Moulage in 1999, he bought Starter less than two years later and now he's leading the French market.

Philippe Khomiakoff is one of Provence Moulage's characters. After twelve years of work, he is the "read-write" memory of the company.

Brigitte Congini officiates in the moulding activity.
		A stock of more than 2500 masters makes one of the forces of Provence Moulage.

The Master of the place, Remy Elkoubi, was ill when we visited the place. Then, Philippe Khomiakoff agreed to devote us a little of his precious time to carry out this report. As a wise conductor, Philippe symbolises the central computer of Provence Moulage. After twelve years spent here, he has seen and recorded everything. Models references, moulds, availability of such and such a car, all there things which he quotes without any doubt. But now he has difficulties in storing so many pieces of information : "absorption of Starter generated a very heavy workload, he says. I am very solicited to solve simultaneously lots of problems. I still manage in dealing with the situation but I must admit that I make mistakes which need time to be corrected whereas I dramatically need time".

Fortunately, things are going better and everything will go right next September or October. At this time all the activities will be definitively gathered in Aubagne because four people and several operations such as packaging activities are still based in Marseille in the previous buildings of Starter. "There will be thus 23 people and we will distribute our products under three different marks : Provence Moulage will concentrate on the kits, Starter on the built models and the 24 Heures du Mans winners, Nationale 7 will diffuse on its side the joined French cars of Sixties. But to reach this goal, "bread remains on the board", as the French say."


In his cabin, Stéphanie Escolier painted nearly 250 cars per day.	The transfer designer Henri Robert was this day busy with conditioning activity.


At Khomiakoff, Provence Moulage is a family question. Arrived simultaneously with her husband, Martine takes care of reception and administrative management.	Last recruit of Provence Moulage, Eliane Fauchois in charge of the secretariat.	Christophe Hubert organizes orders.
